Welcome to TopangaRecords.com, home of Topanga Records, recording artist Allan Comeau, and his newly released CD, “Life Is in Session.” “Topanga” is an indigenous word that means, “A place above,” as the native people who preceded us in the area no doubt made the trek from the higher ground of the canyon to the ocean to fish and frolic. Inspired by the scenic drive from San Fernando Valley to the Pacific Ocean, and the coastline drive down Pacific Coast Highway, Topanga Records hope to be a conduit for the music of the Valley, the Canyons, and the Greater Los Angeles Area. We’ve set this site up so that we can eventually enable selected local recording artists to market their own CDs to the general public, eliminating the nuisance of having to set up their own sites for financial transactions and managing the mail room, etc. For now, please make yourself at home, browse around, listen to some music, and let us know what you think and how we might better serve you.
